A strong advocate for farming, continued agricultural education, innovation and policies to ensure sustainable practices and promote the economic prosperity of our rural community Mike has gained key leadership, service & budgeting experience in major roles with leading county, state and national agricultural organizations. Mike is a proven leader, ready to put his years of serving the citizens and farmers of Cass County to work as your Southern Commissioner.
A 3rd generation Cass County farmer and owner and operator of Moreland Farms for 28 years along with brother Jay and son Matt. Mike and wife Heather, married 39 years, have proudly raised four sons. Matt, Taylor, Austin and Blake, all professionals and business owners in Cass County and surrounding communities. Mike enjoys spending his free time with his four grandchildren.
